Preparation & Anticipation
It's hard to believe after months of anticipation our trip to the motherland, ie. France, is finally here. I call it the motherland for a couple of reasons. One, my mother's side of the family is French, and I've always wanted to go see my where my ancestry began. Two, my girlfriend is French, yes real French from the South of France, Nice (pronounced Neese) for all of you unfamiliar with the apparent superior part of the country. I have been told on numerous occasions that the southerners are far more friendlier than the Northerners, a constant debate for centuries I'm sure, but I suppose I will be the judge of that. Considering my ancestry is from the North of France, and I think I have a pretty awesome family, I think that this is all debatable. I shall wait with bated breath and draw my conclusions, all while hopefully staring at the "sea" as they call it, not the Mediterranean, it's just called the "sea", making assumptions and believing in the idea that worlds collide, but they aint seen nothing yet! This yankee is ready for this French Adventure!
